Allison M. Vissichelli

Ali primarily focuses her practice on complex civil litigation relating to antitrust, commercial disputes, and the financial services sector. She has experience in many aspects of major litigation, including pre-complaint investigation, pleading, pre-trial motion practice, discovery, document review, trial, and appellate advocacy.

Ali clerked for the Honorable Jeffrey M. Geller of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City.

While attending American University Washington College of Law, Ali was a student attorney in the school’s Criminal Justice Defense Clinic, and represented clients before the District and Circuit Courts for Montgomery County Maryland. Ali also served as the Associate Managing Editor of the American University Law Review and received the Ira P. Robbins Award as the law review’s most outstanding senior member. She published a note in the February 2013 issue of the American University Law Review entitled, “Intent to Reconcile: SEC v. Obus, the Second Circuit's Edification of the Tippee Scienter Standard.”

Representative Matters

Member of the team that represents Freddie Mac and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation as Receiver for 38 Closed Banks in the LIBOR antitrust litigation. 

Member of the trial team that represented eleven companies in a price-fixing case against Dow Chemical Company. Ali principally was involved with assisting in the preparation and drafting of the pre-trial order, drafting in limine motions and oppositions and evidentiary briefs during trial, preparing an expert witness to testify at the Daubert hearing and at trial, and aiding trial counsel in the direct and cross examination of expert witnesses during trial. The case settled mid-trial for $400 million.
