Daniel S. Mason

Dan’s practice has focused on trial and appellate work, and a wide variety of complex litigation matters. He has particular expertise in the areas of antitrust, trade regulation, unfair competition, and intellectual property, as well as a wide variety of commercial disputes. He has appeared on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants in virtually every state in the nation, including the U.S. Supreme Court, as well as before the Federal Trade Commission, the Department of Justice, the Food and Drug Administration, and numerous state administrative agencies. He has significant international law experience, representing clients in arbitrations and judicial proceedings in Europe and China.  He has also served as an appointed mediator and expert witness, and has lectured before lawyers on antitrust and trade regulation issues in both the United States and China.

Dan is the author of an article on China's proposed antitrust statute published in 2004 in Asialaw Magazine, and was a guest speaker at the International Symposium on WTO legal issues in Shanghai, China in 2003.

Noteworthy

Dan was one of the first American lawyers to present formal argument in a Chinese court.   He has also served as special counsel on trade regulation matters to China’s Ministry of Commerce.
