Patricia St. Peter
Pat concentrates her practice in the area of complex business disputes including insurance coverage, reinsurance and bad faith litigation. Pat has served as lead counsel in the prosecution and defense of matters brought in state and federal courts in over 30 jurisdictions. Pat has handled matters involving the September 11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center, Hurricanes Katrina, Wilma and Rita, environmental and long-term exposure to harmful substances, asbestos, mold, construction defects, Y2K (first party), advertising injury, and technology.
Pat also has extensive experience in all phases of the appellate process - strategy whether to bring an appeal, brief writing, and oral argument.
Pat has spoken at seminars on numerous topics including effective trial presentation, claims litigation strategy, management of outside counsel, advertising injury, successor liability, and bad faith. Pat also conducts in-house training seminars for the firm's clients and serves as the firm's Diversity Coordinator.

Noteworthy
Pat currently serves as the president of U.S. Figure Skating. Pat recently completed her second term as Midwestern vice president and first vice president of the United States Figure Skating Association, the national governing body of the sport of figure skating as recognized by the U.S. Olympic Committee. Pat is also a National Singles and Pairs Judge and National Referee in U.S. Figure Skating. She also served for four years as the Chair of the Ethics Committee of U.S. Figure Skating.
In June 2004, the International Skating Union elected Pat as a member of a five-person international Disciplinary Commission which hears all charges of disciplinary, doping, and ethical offenses brought against skaters, judging officials, office holders, or member federations of the International Skating Union. The International Skating Union is the international governing body recognized by the International Olympic Committee for the sports of figure skating and speed skating. The International Skating Union established the Disciplinary Commission in response to the judging scandal at the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City.
Pat was recognized by William Mitchell College of Law in "Women in Law - 100 Years of Challenge and Change." Pat participates in the William Mitchell Mentor Program for law students interested in pursuing a career in litigation and trial work.
Pat is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell. She was named a Minnesota "Super Lawyer" for 2010 and 2011 by Minnesota Law & Politics.
