Patricia St. Peter to Present at National Sports Law Institute Conference

Patricia St. Peter, a partner in the Minneapolis office of Zelle Hofmann, will present at the “Maintaining Fairness, Integrity and Safety in Sports” conference to be hosted by the National Sports Law Institute of the Marquette University Law School.  The conference will take place on October 16, 2015 at Eckstein Hall at the Marquette University Law School in Milwaukee, WI. 

St. Peter, a member of Zelle Hofmann’s Entertainment, Media & Sports Practice, served for five years as the President of U.S. Figure Skating (2009-2014), the national governing body of the sport of figure skating as recognized by the U.S. Olympic Committee. She is also a National Singles and Pairs Judge and National Referee in U.S. Figure Skating, and previously served as Midwestern Vice President, Administrative/Legal Group Coordinator, and Chair of the Ethics Committee of U.S. Figure Skating.

The conference will feature panels discussing fairness and integrity in sports, concussions and safety issues in sports, SafeSport, and sexual harassment issues in sports. It will also feature a keynote speech from Allan H. (Bud) Selig, the Commissioner Emeritus of Major League Baseball.

The National Sports Law Institute will seek approval for CLE credits from the Wisconsin Board of Bar Examiners. The National Sports Law Institute will also apply for CLE credit to any state for which a conference or seminar attendee seeks credit. Individual attorneys must pay the fees associated with any out-of-state applications.
