Patricia St. Peter to Lead Zelle Hofmann's Robust Diversity Initiative into the Next Decade

January 8, 2010

Zelle Hofmann Voelbel & Mason LLP is pleased to announce that Patricia St. Peter has become the firm's Diversity Coordinator. As a senior partner and former managing partner of the firm's Minneapolis office, as well as a nationally-known litigator who started with the firm as a first year associate, St. Peter is an ideal choice to lead the firm's vibrant diversity initiative and its Diversity Committee into the next decade. St. Peter succeeds Catherine Colinvaux from the firm's Boston office, also a senior partner, who has lead the diversity initiative since 2006.

Under Colinvaux's leadership, Zelle Hofmann's Diversity Committee implemented many important and creative programs, including the Zealous Women website, adopting a broad and flexible alternative work policy, and initiating a policy to allow associates to obtain billable hours credit for significant non-billable contributions to the firm, including work on diversity initiatives and business development. During Colinvaux's tenure, the Committee measurably and consistently advanced the firm's diversity goals and made consideration of diversity a factor in all firm decision making.

After more than three years as Diversity Coordinator, Colinvaux has decided to focus more time on her practice. "It's a bittersweet moment," Colinvaux stated. "I loved doing the job; I'll always have tremendous passion for diversity issues; and it was a marvelous opportunity to work with the Executive Committee and firm management on a goal that is so important to all of us. But there is no better person than Pat [St. Peter] to take our diversity initiative to the next level, and I'm excited about the Diversity Committee's future."
