Eric E. Caugh
Eric represents individuals and corporate clients in all aspects of civil litigation and dispute resolution, with an emphasis on complex, multi-party litigation in state and federal courts throughout the United States. The mainstay of Eric’s practice is third-party liability coverage disputes. He has represented clients in all aspects of liability coverage litigation and arbitration in dozens of jurisdictions and involving coverage issues of nearly every flavor. Eric has worked with a broad range of liability coverage forms, including: CGL, professional liability, E&O, D&O, tech and cyber risk, umbrella, excess, and known claims. Eric’s insurance practice also includes the investigation, analysis, and litigation of first-party property coverage, subrogation, and reinsurance claims and counseling clients on various claims handling and policy form drafting issues.
Eric also represents clients in various other civil disputes, including employment liability, professional liability, securities defense, property rights, commercial contract, non-profit entities, and ecclesiastical disputes.
In addition to representing clients at the trial court level, Eric also has extensive appellate experience. Eric has successfully litigated a variety of leading-edge issues on behalf of clients in various state and federal appellate courts, as well as in appeals in private arbitration.
