Rory Zamansky

Rory Zamansky, a partner in the firm’s Minneapolis office, is a commercial litigator who has vigorously represented his clients in state and federal courts throughout the United States. His clients range from individuals, to federal agencies, and to Fortune 50 companies. In particular, he has extensive experience representing financial services firms in challenging, high stakes lawsuits involving multi-million dollar claims of negligence, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, and violations of state and federal statutes. In addition to the financial services arena, Rory has substantial experience in the areas of commercial contract and business disputes, insurance, reinsurance, employment matters, and class actions.

Financial Services

Represented Wells Fargo Bank in litigation concerning securities lending and 2007-08 financial crisis (Blue Cross/Blue Shield et al. v. Wells Fargo; City of Farmington Hills v. Wells Fargo; Workers Compensation Reinsurance Association, et al. v. Wells Fargo; COPIC Insurance Company v. Wells Fargo).

Represented financial advisory firm and corporate parent in defense of multi-million dollar securities law claims.

Commercial Litigation

Represented yoga studio in motion to dismiss class action complaint granted (Hughes v. CorePower Yoga, LLC).


Represented leading participant in reinsurance dispute regarding settlement of multi-billion dollar claims arising out of the September 11 attack on the World Trade Center.

Represented insurer in insurance coverage action and related appraisal involving claims in excess of $1 billion stemming from property damage on 9/11 and related time element loss claims (Taunus Corporation v. Allianz Insurance Company).
