Available Position: Electronic Billing Specialist - Minneapolis

JOB TITLE: Electronic Billing Specialist

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

SUPERVISOR: Controller

SUMMARY: Compiles, manages, and executes attorney billing. This includes advanced billing functions such as appeals, deductions, rejections, split billing, and set up and management of time keepers. Demonstrates expertise in all facets of electronic billing. Maintains contact with attorneys, staff, vendors and clients and observes confidentiality of client and firm matters. May also perform a variety of other accounting duties / special projects as needed.

The following responsibilities will be required in the Electronic Billing Specialist position:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  1. College degree or equivalent experience required.
  2. Five or more years of hands-on billing experience in a law firm.
  3. PC proficiency using Elite or Aderant, Windows, Microsoft Word & Excel 2016.
  4. Proficient in web-based e-billing applications.
  5. Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  6. Must have excellent attention to detail and be organized with demonstrated ability to maintain high-quality and quantity work product.
  7. Must have good writing, math, analytical, and organizational skills.
  8. Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with a diverse group of attorneys, staff and outside service providers, and provide information with professional courtesy and tact.
  9. Work occasionally requires more than 37.5 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position; may require irregular and overtime hours.
